NORTH PEGASUS
North Pegasus hunters hut was constructed by Stewart Island Lions Club members in 1999. Mr Ian Munro owned Stewart Island Ferry at the time and generously transported the first ten huts built by the Trust free of charge. The lions club members lived on the ferry while construction took place. Both the Pegasus Huts have since been upgraded by the Trust with the addition of aluminium doors, interior lining and fibreglass toilets.
The hut is situated in Pegasus Passage and has eight bunks.
Access is not a problem.

There are flat areas up the hill past the toilet suitable for tents.
