NORTH TIKOTATAHI
This hut is situated at the start of the penninsula which justs out into the bay at the south eastern end of the block and was built in 2001 by members of Southland and Western South branches NZDA. The builders were Nathan Dawson, David Brown Brian Robinson, Maurice McCabe, Dary Shirley and CJ Sutherland.
Windblown sand is building up around the rear of this hut. We appreciate hunters who dig sand away from the base of the hut.
Access
Access is via the western beach which is more sheltered but be careful, boats have been swamped here.
There are grassed flat areas at the hut suitable for a couple tents.
There is no cell phone reception here.
